Job Description

The medical assistant will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. The role supports clinician and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating the patient population. The medical assistant is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.

Responsibilities

• Perform all laboratory testing procedures including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
• Assist in promoting health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment.

Essential Skills

• Medical assisting
• Phlebotomy experience required
• Patient care
• Ability to take vitals (manual vitals preferred)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma required
• 2 years' experience within clinic/back office healthcare setting
• MA diploma OR Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR 3 years' MA experience
• Active driver's license required
• Flexibility to adjust to changing work environment

Work Environment

The work environment is 100% onsite in a pediatric clinic. The shift is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and every other Saturday from 7:45 am to 3:00 pm. The schedule alternates between a 42.5-hour workweek and a 46.75-hour workweek. Employees receive $0.67 per mile reimbursement and a $20 gas card if required to float to another site.

This is a Permanent position based out of Boca Raton, FL.

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $41000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Boca Raton,FL.
