Medical Assistant Front Office

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for our front office who will utilize ModMed as the electronic medical records (EMR) system for managing patient records. This role involves welcoming patients upon arrival, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed. You will be responsible for handling incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries, verifying insurance coverage, and assisting with check-in and check-out procedures.

• Welcome patients and ensure they feel comfortable and informed.
• Handle incoming calls and direct them to appropriate personnel.
• Address patient inquiries and verify insurance coverage.
• Organize workload and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures.
• Maintain and update patient records confidentially and accurately.
• Process insurance claims, create invoices, and manage billing.
• Provide patients with information on treatments, medications, and post-procedure care.
• Order and manage medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations.

• Experience with electronic medical records, specifically ModMed.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in medical reception or front office roles.
• Patient care experience.

• Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred.
• EMR experience is required.

You will work in a friendly and supportive environment where healthcare providers are eager to teach and collaborate. Our large network consists of seven offices, all located in NJ, maintaining a small group feel. The role requires an eight-hour shift during office hours, with no weekends or evenings. Once converted, employees benefit from two work-from-home days. The department consists of eight people, handling about 70-100 calls from patients daily.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wharton, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
