Mechanical Design & Thermal Engineer

Our agency is supporting a cutting‑edge technology client seeking an experienced Mechanical Design & Thermal Engineer to drive product development for advanced liquid‑cooling hardware. This role blends mechanical design, thermal engineering, and hands‑on validation work—perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex thermal challenges and bringing innovative hardware from concept to production.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Design & Product Development
- Design mechanical components and assemblies for liquid cooling systems, including cold plates, manifolds, CDUs, enclosures, and piping.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools.
- Perform tolerance analysis, DFM/DFX reviews, and support supplier manufacturing activities.
- Build, test, and iterate prototypes; analyze results to refine designs.
- Generate engineering documentation such as drawings, BOMs, and ECOs.
- Support NPI activities, pilot builds, and production ramp‑up.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and cross‑functional engineering teams.
Thermal Analysis & Validation
- Conduct system‑level and component‑level thermal analysis to ensure performance and reliability.
- Run CFD simulations to evaluate airflow, temperature distribution, and pressure drop.
- Develop and optimize liquid cooling solutions including cold plates, heat exchangers, and full system architectures.
- Set up and execute thermal measurements using thermocouples, IR cameras, and DAQ systems.
- Correlate simulation results with experimental data and drive design improvements.

- Infrared/thermal measurement tools
- Proficiency in Creo, SolidWorks, or similar CAD platforms
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (must‑have)
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related field.
- Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
- Experience with liquid cooling or high‑power thermal systems preferred.
- Experience with commercial CFD tools (FloEFD, Flotherm, Star‑CCM , Ansys, etc.) preferred.
- Product development and NPI experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in lab environments and handle equipment up to 30–40 lbs.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
