Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to apply strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills in developing specialized nonwovens process technology and equipment. This role involves working with both lab line equipment and larger roll-to-roll web processing systems.
Responsibilities
- Configure, operate, and maintain process equipment, including lab line systems.
- Measure and characterize the properties of nonwoven materials off the production line.
- Keep detailed records and communicate technical work and results effectively.
- Follow and develop standard operating procedures while adapting to changing priorities and evolving run plans.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Handle materials, including lifting pails, moving pallets, and completing other assigned duties.
Essential Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to excel in a highly interdisciplinary, team-oriented work environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or higher.
- At least one year of technician or operator experience in an industrial setting.
- Associate degree or two-year technical program certificate in mechanical, materials, or process engineering, or a similar field.
Work Environment
The role requires frequent work on lab line equipment and regular adaptation to shifting operational priorities. The environment is high-speed and team-based, emphasizing safety and organization
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
