Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, and scale the next generation of our rare-earth reactors. The successful candidate will own designs from concept through commissioning, working closely with machinists and researchers to transform ideas into operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect, model, and draw reactor subsystems, including thermal, vacuum, and materials handling, using CAD software (Fusion).
- Specify components, tolerances, and materials suitable for high-temperature, corrosive, and vacuum environments.
- Build and iterate on prototypes; conduct experiments and analyze data to inform design decisions.
- Author procedures, test plans, and safety/operating documentation.
- Collaborate with fabrication partners and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in CAD (Fusion) software.
- Hands-on experience with metal machining and shop tools.
- Experience with high-temperature systems and/or vacuum hardware.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to execute technical tasks precisely.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, build-measure-learn environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in chemistry is advantageous.
- Availability to start soon is preferred.

You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced technologies and equipment. The role requires hands-on interaction with metal machining and vacuum systems, and you will be expected to adapt to a build-measure-learn workflow efficiently.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $250000.00/yr.
