This is a hands-on, design-focused role where your SolidWorks skills, electroâmechanical mindset, and curiosity will directly impact products used by dental professionals worldwide.
đŹ What Youâll Be Building
Youâll design and develop advanced medical imaging products from concept through productionâintegrating mechanics, optics, and electronics into fully functional, FDAâcompliant systems.
This is not a maintenance or support role. Youâll be:
- Creating real products
- Building and testing prototypes
- Working sideâbyâside with R&D and manufacturing
- Seeing your designs go into production
đ ď¸ What Youâll Do
- Design and document electroâmechanical medical devices in compliance with ISO & FDA regulations
- Develop products from early concept through serial production
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and drawings in SolidWorks (ANSI standards)
- Integrate mechanical, optical, and electronic components
- Build, test, and refine prototypes based on real data and feedback
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure costâeffective, scalable designs
- Support verification, validation, and manufacturing transfer
- Collaborate with European R&D teams and key external suppliers
- Contribute to packaging, casting, and enclosure design
- Support optical and laser-related mechanical design
- Actively participate in cost optimization without sacrificing quality or compliance
â What Weâre Looking For (Entry-Level Friendly)
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- 1 year of hands-on experience (full-time, internship, or co-op acceptable)
- Strong SolidWorks skills (3D modeling & drawings)
- Working knowledge of electro-mechanical design
- Understanding of fluid dynamics
- Familiarity with DFM principles
- Exposure to medical devices or regulated industries is a plusâbut not required
- Comfortable working with prototypes and manufacturing teams
- Clear communicator with strong attention to detail
- Willingness to travel internationally on occasion
- Motivated, proactive, and excited to grow
â Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with optics or laser-based systems
- Background in casting, housing, or packaging design
- Prior experience supporting products through full life cycle
- Collaboration with international engineering teams

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
