Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and maintain SolidWorks models. The role will focus on R&D and mechanical design of cutting edge agricultural equipment. The ideal candidate will work closely with fabricators and production staff to ensure the proper manufacturing of the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain SolidWorks models and drawings of R&D and production equipment.
• Create bills of materials of production equipment.
• Create operator’s handbooks.
• Participate in weekly design reviews and brainstorms with engineering staff.
• Work with fabricators, assemblers and production staff to facilitate completion of equipment.
• Work independently and as a team on new product designs.
• Conduct field visits to gather machine performance data.
• Complete occasional fabrication and assembly projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• 2-5 years experience with equipment design
• Experience with welding and machining practices
• Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems
• Experience within the agricultural industry is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $51.00/hr.
