Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team focused on the design, development, and integration of advanced maritime naval products. This role involves supporting mechanical systems for naval platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance with stringent military and marine standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical design for harsh marine environments and a strong understanding of naval architecture principles.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
Develop mechanical components and systems for naval vessels and maritime defense products.
Perform structural and thermal analysis to ensure durability in marine environments.
Create detailed CAD models, drawings, and specifications for manufacturing.
Integration & Testing
Support integration of mechanical systems with electrical and control subsystems.
Conduct validation and verification testing, including shock, vibration, and corrosion resistance.
Troubleshoot and resolve design and performance issues during development and sea trials.
Compliance & Standards
Ensure designs meet military specifications, classification society requirements, and maritime safety standards.
Prepare documentation for configuration control and quality assurance.
Collaboration
Work closely with cross-functional teams including naval architects, systems engineers, and manufacturing.
Provide technical support to suppliers and shipyards during production and installation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami Beach, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
