A Mechanical Designer is needed to assist the structural/mechanical engineering team in CAD modeling and drafting for bulk material handling systems. This role involves working within established drafting protocols to support complex engineering projects.
Responsibilities- Produce complex drawings that meet client specifications in both 2D and 3D formats.
- Prepare and interpret scale drawings, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids.
- Gather information and produce drawings for specific projects, ensuring accuracy.
- Revise and update drawings for customer approval and prepare them for fabrication.
- Interpret and analyze technical reports and specifications.
- Understand and apply 'Good Engineering Practices' for industry standards.
- Provide suggestions and feedback on drawings to aid in drafting development, problem solving, and innovative design solutions.
- Support design efforts with detailed dimensional calculations to verify configurations and layouts.
- Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Managers, and Engineers on project operations.
- 2 years of design experience.
- Associates degree in CAD, Design, or Drafting.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Solidworks is a plus.
- Advance Steel skills are highly desirable.
- Experience in bulk material handling or conveyor system design is a plus.
- Prior experience in fabrication drawing review is beneficial.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
