What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer position at Actalent?
Description:
- Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
- Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or NX.
- Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship.
- AS Degree
- 3 years of relevant experience. (2 years of related experience can be substituted for Associate’s degree.)
- Familiar with 3D modelling software (Siemens NX. Autocad/Inventor)
- Experience in manufacturing/installation drawing creation.
- Machinery/Mechanical Design expereince preferred.
- Manufacturing Experience.
Additional Information:
- 1st shift, Monday-Friday.
- Pay Rate: $35-$45/hr based on experience.

This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
