Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter to support ongoing design efforts by updating legacy drawings, preparing designs for PLM integration, and providing general drafting support across engineering teams. This role acts as a key partner to both design engineers and the PLM-focused drafter.
Responsibilities
- Update legacy CAD drawings and documentation.
- Support cleanup and standardization of engineering designs.
- Assist in preparing drawings for PLM integration.
- Create new drawings as needed to support engineering efforts.
- Work across multiple teams to support concurrent design needs.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience updating and maintaining CAD files.
- 3 years of mechanical drafting experience.
- Experience with dynamic/mechanical systems (moving parts, robotics, fluid systems).
- Exposure to robotics or automation environments.
- Any FEA exposure is a plus (not required).

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
