Mechanical Design Engineer
Position Overview:
The primary purpose of this position is to perform work involving conventional engineering practices. The role includes initiating, directing, and managing the design, development, construction, and modification of products and processes from conception to implementation. This position works closely with other departments to coordinate design engineering activities and reviews,
initiates, or approves engineering drawings, layouts, change orders, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure internal and external customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements, including but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), FDA regulations, company policies, and other regulatory standards.
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment for minor adaptations and modifications.
- Perform work involving conventional plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
- Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusting and correlating data as needed.
- Recognize discrepancies in results and follow operations through detailed steps or processes.
- Review test procedures and plans prior to implementation; conduct failure analysis and inspection on products, processes, and materials.
- Investigate, develop, and implement new process technologies of moderate scope.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum Experience: 0-3 years of experience
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Computer proficiency as required by job responsibilities
- Basic word-processing and spreadsheet skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palm Harbor, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
