Mechanical Superintendent – MEP Construction

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to lead MEP construction activities and manage field operations on complex projects. This role is critical to ensuring proper coordination between trades, maintaining safety standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate MEP construction site activities, including specific trades.
• Support Project Director, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Senior Superintendent in monitoring work progress and subcontractor manpower.
• Ensure subcontractor and vendor work is completed safely and in compliance with contract documents and project schedules.
• Collect and assemble on-site testing reports, inspection reports, and completion records for close-out documentation.
• Assume primary responsibility for activities associated with assigned trades.
• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, including targeted and actual activities, durations, and sequencing.
• Develop a working knowledge of project budgets for assigned trades and identify exceptions.
• Support change control documentation and related financial documentation.
• Participate in constructability reviews of design documents.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of project resources.
• Facilitate communication between subcontractors, vendors, and project personnel.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage submittal distribution, review, and storage per project and corporate standards.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience as an MEP Superintendent on pharmaceutical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of GMP/cGMP environments and life sciences facility requirements (clean rooms, labs, manufacturing plants).
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades and ensure proper coordination.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgewater, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $86.54/hr.
