Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the production of therapeutic proteins (API) under cGMP conditions. The role involves executing process recipes, following SOPs, monitoring equipment and processes, performing basic laboratory tasks such as pH and conductivity measurement, sampling, and routine sanitization tasks. The technician will develop a basic understanding of cGMP compliance while training under supervision, demonstrating aseptic techniques in product and material handling.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate equipment, and monitor production processes, including clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) operations.
• Report production in written and electronic documents in accordance with GMPs and GDPs, reviewing documentation as appropriate.
• Attain qualification for all assigned tasks and maintain an individual training plan.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as monitoring pH, conductivity, and testing product samples.
• Perform material movements, transferring raw materials and chemicals into, out of, and across the production areas.
• Maintain facility and equipment through routine cleaning and sanitization, and support 6S programs.
• Complete administrative tasks including attending shift exchanges, meetings, sending/receiving emails, and participating in projects.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; AS/BS in a science-related discipline preferred.
• 0-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Basic laboratory skills including pH and conductivity measurement.
• Understanding of cGMP and GDP standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.

Work Environment

The work environment is within a large, well-known company. The role requires compliance with cGMP standards and involves routine tasks such as cleaning and maintaining equipment. The position may require shift work and attendance at meetings and project participation. Employees are expected to adhere to 6S program guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Must be open to night shift or day shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Vacaville, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Vacaville,CA.
