Job Title: Manufacturing Cost Estimator
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Cost Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in interpreting customer requests for quotes (RFQs), machining, and welding drawings to determine the scope and requirements necessary for accurate and timely estimates.
Responsibilities
- Interpret customer RFQs, machining, and welding drawings to determine scope and requirements.
- Develop detailed cost estimates using internal data and supplier quotes.
- Complete and maintain cost sheets for each quote and quote revisions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing for materials, subcontracted services, and components.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to ensure accurate and feasible estimates.
- Ensure all estimates are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
- Maintain organized records of quotes, the quote log, and supporting documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
- Experience with ERP systems, Epicor ERP E10 is a plus.
- Familiarity with CAD software, SolidWorks experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Working knowledge of computers and business software, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in machining processes such as turning, milling, cylindrical grinding, hobbing, and broaching.
- Experience in welding processes such as MIG and TIG.
- Experience in assembly processes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/hr.
