Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to enhance the operations of our Fiber Optic Rotary (FORJ) Joint division. The role involves streamlining manufacturing processes, overseeing product testing, and improving product assembly quality. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of manufacturing production processes, mechanical design experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a small team.

• Observe and analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Develop and implement quality control processes and cost-saving measures.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing production equipment and fixtures.
• Prepare, execute, and document product qualification testing.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of a product's manufacturing process, including assembly, packaging, and quality control.
• Educate new employees on current manufacturing and workflow processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, such as OSHA and AS9100.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, specifically in fiber optics or aerospace ISO 9001.
• Ability to troubleshoot and improve processes.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, ISO 9001, and product testing.

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or related engineering field.
• 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks), statistical tools, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) certification is a strong plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Trenton, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $51.00/hr.
