Lead Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to lead and manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from their conceptual phases through to construction. This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while also serving as both a project engineer and manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Serve as both project engineer and project manager based on project needs.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and project engineers to enhance their technical skills.
• Coordinate directly with clients, subconsultants, and stakeholders.
• Develop design documents and construction drawings.
• Contribute to quality assurance and quality control processes and ensure compliance with project standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 5-15 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a lean, flat-structure organization.
• Experience with water and wastewater systems, including pipeline hydraulics and mechanical piping layouts.
• California PE license (preferred but not required).
• Experience with ArcGIS or hydraulic modeling software.
• Experience in municipal infrastructure or experience at a large civil firm.
• Familiarity with permitting processes and technical documentation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
