Specimen Accessioner

Job Description

The role involves processing specimens and making outbound calls to clients to troubleshoot any incorrect specimens, such as missing forms, incorrect names on samples, or wrong samples sent.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the 7am morning sample volume
• Sort, re-label, scan, and rack all molecular samples.
• Assist in HIV specimen processing.

Essential Skills

• Laboratory processing
• Data entry
• Accessioning
• Sample collection

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in specimen processing or a related field is highly preferred.

Work Environment

Tuesday - Friday 7am - 4pm or until samples are completed. Saturday 8am - 5pm or until samples are completed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
