Labeling Specialist

We’re looking for a Labeling Specialist to support a fast-growing flow cell manufacturing team in a regulated biotech environment. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring sequencing consumables are accurately labeled, compliant, and ready for release. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to next-generation sequencing products, quality systems, and product lifecycle processes, making this a strong entry point into careers in quality assurance, manufacturing, or regulatory affairs.
What You’ll Do
- Create, review, and maintain highly accurate product labels and related documentation
- Format, proofread, and verify labels to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with manufacturing outputs
- Support label revisions and change control activities while maintaining strict version control
- Work within PLM systems to track updates and support product lifecycle management
- Ensure all labeling meets regulatory, quality, and compliance standards
- Assist with label printing, testing, and troubleshooting using industrial labeling equipment
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams to support timely product release
- Maintain organized documentation to support audits and quality reviews
- Contribute to continuous improvement of labeling and documentation workflows
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy
- Experience or exposure to regulated environments such as GMP, GDP, or ISO
- Comfort working with documentation systems and technical tools, including PLM platforms
- Proficiency with Excel and general documentation tools
- Familiarity with labeling software and printers such as BarTender or Zebra is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple updates at once
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Nice to Have
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field
- Exposure to quality assurance, documentation control, or product lifecycle processes
- Interest in building a long-term career in quality, manufacturing, or regulatory functions
- Ability to balance detailed documentation work with light hands-on production support

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
