Job Description
We are seeking an entry‑level Laboratory Analyst with 1–3 years of experience in an analytical laboratory environment. Candidates should have hands‑on experience with GC and/or LC chromatography and a solid understanding of instrumental analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook in a laboratory setting is preferred.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and demonstrates strong attention to detail while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing using GC and/or LC instrumentation
- Follow established laboratory procedures and documentation practices
- Record, analyze, and interpret data accurately
- Prepare reports and communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats
- Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and team members to support laboratory operations
- Apply problem‑solving skills to define issues, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
- Work effectively with instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in an analytical laboratory
- Hands‑on experience with GC and/or LC chromatography
- Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) in a lab setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret business documents, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Duffield, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
