Job Description
The Lab Technician will perform essential laboratory support functions, including media preparation, autoclave operation, and glassware cleaning. This role is crucial in supporting the increasing workload and allows higher-level staff to focus on advanced projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain laboratory media.
- Operate and maintain autoclaves.
- Clean and organize laboratory glassware.
- Assist with basic microbiology tasks such as plating and streaking.
- Support ongoing projects by managing routine laboratory tasks efficiently.
- Experience in microbiology tasks such as plating and streaking.
- Competence in handling and cleaning laboratory glassware.
- Proficiency in using MS Word and Excel.
- Strong multitasking ability.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Sciences, such as Microbiology or Biology.
The Lab Technician will work in both laboratory and office settings. Standard work hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break, totaling a 40-hour work week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manitowoc, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
