Lab Technician- Warehoue Associate

BASIC SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for transporting products between company facilities, primarily on weekends, with occasional weekday support as needed. The position involves operating a box truck, as well as loading and unloading products and supplies safely, securely, and efficiently at designated locations.

In addition, this role supports warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, and order preparation, while assisting with the movement of eggs, materials, and supplies between company sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pick up eggs from farms and deliver them to the packing and shipping facility.
• Support warehouse operations, including receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, picking and packing orders, and staging shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory through recordkeeping, inventory updates, and routine cycle counts.
• Transport internal mail, supplies, and materials between company locations and vendors as needed.
• Comply with all required TSA regulations related to access and transport within the facility.
• Conduct routine vehicle safety inspections.
• Clean and sanitize trucks according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and management guidelines.
• Follow company policies, safety standards, and biosecurity protocols at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, lift gates, and dock plates.
• Provide backup support for weekday delivery routes when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Must be available to work weekend shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or delivery driving.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Licensure: Valid driver’s license required.
• Other: Clean driving record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Must have adequate vision, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing job duties:

• Regular operation of a box truck with exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• Occasional exposure to cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
• Driving in varying weather and road conditions.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Voluntown, CT.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
