Job Title: Color Lab Technician
Job Description
As a Color Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in preparing color samples for evaluation and formulation to support the Refinish Color Matching team. Your primary responsibilities will involve mixing wet paint, reducing and spraying paint samples, and maintaining the cleanliness of lab areas.
Responsibilities
- Perform both mixing and spraying functions to meet production demands.
- Acquire color formulations from Color Matcher and prepare sample mixtures based on provided paint formulations or recipes.
- Ensure accurate dispensing and labeling of color lab paint samples.
- Obtain wet paint samples from mixing stations and spray them according to predefined specifications.
- Maintain laboratory equipment in a clean condition.
Essential Skills
- Experience in lab technology, chemistry, or biology.
- Proficiency in wet chemistry, paint, and pigment handling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BS or AS degree is preferred.
- A strong work history and good tenure in past roles, especially in fast-paced or physically active environments, is accepted in lieu of a degree.
Work Environment
This position operates on a second shift schedule, from 2pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday. Safety shoes are required, and all other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. The contractor will be fitted for a respirator and must be clean-shaven on the first day.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
