Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Concrete Lab Technician to join our Westerville office on a temporary basis. The role involves performing laboratory testing and quality control evaluations on concrete and other construction materials to verify compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This position is critical in ensuring the quality, durability, and performance of materials used on commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and transportation projects. Prior experience is not required, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concrete and soil samples for laboratory testing.
• Break and test approximately 100–200 concrete cylinders daily.
• Strip, label, and properly store concrete cylinders each day.
• Operate a wet saw safely and efficiently as needed.
• Cap concrete cylinders for testing as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Organize and maintain the concrete curing (wet) room daily.
• Perform weekend cylinder testing as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in laboratory procedures and concrete testing.
• Knowledge of construction materials testing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and exp. check.
• Ability to routinely lift and carry 10–50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for varied times, up to 8 hours per day.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship or employment restrictions.

Work Environment

The position is based in an industrial laboratory environment, where large equipment is used. The role may involve getting dirty while working with construction materials.

This is a Contract position based out of Westerville, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Westerville,OH.
