Lab Packaging Associate

The role involves sorting, racking, registering, labeling, and storing specimens, as well as data entry. Responsibilities also include miscellaneous tasks delegated by leadership, particularly related to the accession of frozen samples. The work environment will include cold environments and freezers, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rack specimens accurately.
• Register and label specimens according to protocols.
• Store specimens in designated locations.
• Perform data entry with high accuracy.
• Complete tasks as delegated by leadership related to frozen sample accession.

• High school diploma.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in data entry.

• Experience in specimen processing and registration.

Candidates are needed for all shifts, with 1st and 2nd shifts running from Tuesday to Saturday, and 3rd shift from Monday to Friday. The 1st shift is from 9am to 5:30pm, the 2nd shift is from 11am to 7:30pm, and the 3rd shift is from 9pm to 5:30am. The dress code requires wearing long pants without tears, and shoes must cover the entire foot with no open toes. T-shirts with writing are permissible as long as they are not offensive or controversial, and a lab coat will cover the top half while in the lab. Nails must not protrude through latex gloves for safety reasons.

This is a Contract position based out of Lancaster, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70/hr.
