Job Description
As a Junior Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of a project to upgrade the Chromeleon chromatography data system used within a manufacturing environment. Your role ensures that system enhancements, compliance requirements, integrations, and site readiness activities are carried out effectively and in alignment with global IT and quality standards. Based in Sunnyvale, California, you will work closely with local manufacturing teams, internal product implementation and support, R&D teams, and quality stakeholders to deliver a controlled, well-communicated upgrade with minimal operational disruption.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of Chromeleon system upgrades for the Sunnyvale manufacturing site.
- Coordinate system configuration updates, validation testing, and deployment planning.
- Work with site operations to plan downtime windows, user readiness, and training needs.
- Ensure alignment with corporate IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and software lifecycle management processes.
- Maintain integrated project schedules, RAID logs (risks, actions, issues, decisions), and ensure timely status reporting.
- Ensure project documentation, communication, and deliverables meet divisional IT PMO & site manufacturing standards.
- Prepare clear communications for local and divisional stakeholders, including program steering committees.
- Ensure project administrative tasks are completed on a weekly basis and reporting across multiple stakeholder groups is consistent.
- Escalate risks and issues proactively with recommended mitigation approaches.
- Support CAPEX/OPEX tracking and financial visibility for program-related activities.
- Coordinate testing cycles, cutover planning, and hypercare activities in collaboration with program teams.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience managing IT, software upgrades, or system enhancement projects.
- Ability to coordinate technical teams, system owners, quality groups, and manufacturing users.
- Experience planning and executing system testing, user readiness, and training activities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and operations-based stakeholder groups.
- Experience collaborating with vendors, internal developers, or application support teams.

Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49.00 - $49.00/hr.
