Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Estimator eager to grow within our company, with the potential to advance to a Senior Estimator position. The role primarily involves estimating on plumbing, piping, and HVAC projects. We value personality and culture fit above all, and we are committed to teaching the necessary skills. This position is ideal for recent graduates with a Construction Management degree, though we are also open to candidates with a 2-year Construction degree and up to three years of experience. Responsibilities
- Estimate costs for plumbing, piping, and HVAC projects.
- Assist on large projects while independently managing smaller ones.
- Collaborate with the team to learn and implement company systems.
- Contribute to the company’s growth and success by playing an integral role.
Essential Skills
- Degree in Construction Management (2-year or 4-year).
- Experience in construction, estimation, project management, and mechanical engineering.
- Familiarity with estimating software, particularly Trimble.
- Exposure to CAD and Revit is beneficial.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ties to the Davenport area are a plus.
- Great personality and a strong culture fit.
- Up to three years of relevant experience estimating
- Experience in commercial construction, plumbing, piping, and HVAC.
Work Environment
The position requires onsite presence five days a week, with the potential for overtime when necessary for large projects. The work culture is family-oriented, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. The president is approachable and encourages open communication with everyone in the building.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.04 - $28.85/hr.
