Junior Buyer

We are seeking a Buyer to join our team who holds a Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or accounting. The ideal candidate should have experience with ERP systems and must possess strong Excel skills. This role involves negotiating part pricing, including step-down pricing, managing schedules and contracts, vendor management, and data management. The candidate will be responsible for handling purchase order delivery dates, addressing PO discrepancies and quoting, creating bills of lading for shipments, coordinating logistics for freight, and maintaining clear communication. A keen eye for detail and a desire to learn and grow are essential.

• Negotiate part pricing including step-down pricing.
• Manage schedules and contracts effectively.
• Oversee vendor management and ensure data accuracy.
• Handle purchase order delivery dates and resolve discrepancies.
• Create bills of lading for shipments and coordinate logistics for freight.
• Communicate effectively with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with procurement team members to optimize purchasing processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or accounting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Excel.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience in a production environment is beneficial.
• Machine shop experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI.

The role starts off as a contract position, with plans to transition to a permanent role based on budget approval. The company offers flexible working hours, with options for four ten-hour days or five eight-hour days. We are a growing company involved in extensive R&D within the automation industry, and we are soon moving to a larger facility in Aurora. With a rich history spanning 140 years, our company offers a unique blend of family-owned business culture with the robust resources of a larger corporate entity. We use Great Plains for ERP and are open to candidates with experience in any ERP system, especially those skilled in transitioning from manual roles to ERP systems.

This is a Contract position based out of Denver, CO.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
