IT Support Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forensics, Linux administration, and security event analysis. This role requires a candidate with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, capable of effectively communicating both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux systems and maintain security measures.
• Manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and analyze security events.
• Oversee anti-malware software administration to safeguard network integrity.
• Conduct Windows Server and Active Directory administration with over 2 years of experience.
• Employ network administration skills with at least 1 year of experience.
• Stay informed on global security issues and emerging threats.
• Develop and maintain scripts using programming languages such as Python, Go, C, Perl, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Communicate effectively in public speaking engagements and through written reports.
• Collaborate with team members while also working independently.
• Perform up to 10% travel as required.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Linux administration.
• Security certification or higher (e.g., GCFA, GCIH, GSEC).
• 2 years of experience in Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Fluency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Go, C, Perl, Bash, PowerShell).
• 1 years of network administration experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of SIEM systems and security event analysis.
• Experience with anti-malware software administration.
• Strong understanding of global security issues and threats.
• Exceptional organization and time management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, desktop communications software, Adobe products, operating system software, and web browsers.

Work Environment

This position requires 100% on-site presence in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role involves working with advanced technologies and requires adherence to safety protocols.IT

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxnard, CA.

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $36.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Oxnard,CA.
