Job Description
We are seeking a Hydraulics Design Engineer to join our team as an essential part of our manufacturing operations. This role is crucial for the creation and maintenance of hydraulic performance, as well as for designing, sizing, selecting components, and writing specifications for hydraulic systems.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain hydraulic performance documentation.
- Design, size, select components, and write specifications for hydraulic systems.
- Perform work to design, draw, and interpret hydraulic systems and schematics.
- Evaluate hydraulic components efficiently and troubleshoot potential issues.
- Develop testing protocols and conduct physical testing to evaluate hydraulic system designs.
Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or bachelor’s degree in a related field surrounding mechanical and hydraulic disciplines.
- Mechanical application skills.
- CAD skills with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling tools.
- Integration skills for electronics, electro-hydraulic, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
- System analysis skills, including decision-making, cost, safety, reliability, and maintainability.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, including understanding of pumps, valves, cylinders, and plumbing of components.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- A high degree of self-discipline and self-motivation.
- International Fluid Power Society (IFPS) Certification preferred.
- Three years of hydraulic design experience preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
