Join our dynamic team as a Certified Medical Assistant supporting Internal Medicine, Pulmonology, and/or Women's Health connected to the hospital. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, managing a patient volume of approximately 120-150 patients monthly. This is a perfect opportunity to work closely with experienced providers and be part of a team that values growth and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers by rooming patients, obtaining blood pressure, documenting signs and symptoms, taking weight and temperature, and completing medical history documentation.
- Set up for and assist providers with various tasks, including urinalyses, strep/flu/pregnancy tests, and other tests as directed.
- Schedule tests, radiology exams, and specialist appointments, and enter relevant information in the EMR. Perform prior authorizations and notify office referral specialists when insurance referrals are required.
- Assist providers with office exams, collect height, weight, BMI, and other information, and update immunization records.
- Conduct phone triage for patient medical questions, test results, medication refills, and call-backs. Handle prescription refills as directed.
- Perform walk-in patient duties, such as triage, blood pressures, urinalyses, and medication sample requests.
- Serve as a resource to visitors, providers, and staff by greeting everyone promptly and courteously.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Practice Administrator, practice site provider, or VP of Physician Practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and policies, including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.
Essential Skills
- Active CMA (AAMA), RMA, or CCMA certification required.
- Completion and graduation from a recognized medical assistant training course or equivalent experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and data entry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience working as a CMA.
- Experience within family practice or women's health.
- Point of Care (POC) testing experience.
- An upbeat, positive, and outgoing attitude.
Work Environment
Collaborate with a team of two providers and one other Medical Assistant. Our friendly and supportive culture ensures everyone is greeted warmly. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, with no weekend work or holiday shifts. Enjoy a team-based attitude and opportunities for growth within the network.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.22 - $23.00/hr.
