Job Title: Principal Technician

Job Description

The Principal Technician will play a crucial role in the testing of fixturing and electrical assembly/disassembly of OEM equipment for the Pilot Plant/Engineering Operations team. This position involves 80% electrical work, 10% mechanical tasks, and 10% HVAC responsibilities. The technician will manage and build mechanical systems applicable to industrial, commercial, and residential environments.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot electrical components up to 480 volts, focusing on large electronics.
• Manage and construct mechanical systems for various applications.
• Conduct testing and provide flexibility experience with fixturing, tubing, pressure vessels, etc.
• Interpret and apply work instructions, engineering drawings, and blueprints.
• Communicate effectively with the engineering and production teams, including relays, pumps, parts lists, and specifications.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for inventory management and ordering of fittings.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in the electrical/manufacturing engineering industry.
• Experience in panel building and instrumentation.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and testing electrical components.
• Ability to understand and work with engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Effective communication skills with engineering and production teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for inventory management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2-year Associates Degree.
• Experience in high voltage electrical work.
• Prior HVAC experience.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of two 5-story towers, where the technician will be expected to walk up and down approximately 15 flights of stairs daily, making it physically intensive. The possibility exists for a 5-day work week with 8-hour shifts. The elevators are reserved strictly for heavy industrial purposes. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $45.00/hr.
