Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting complex bug resolutions across multiple software teams, conducting root cause investigations, and providing hands-on support in high-speed digital design and high-power automotive ECU designs.

Responsibilities

• Triage and support complex bugs identified by multiple internal and external software teams across various locations.
• Lead structured root cause investigations involving hardware, signal integrity, power integrity, and software interactions.
• Debug high-speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, and serializer/deserializer links.
• Support troubleshooting of high-power designs including PMICs, regulators, power sequencing, and thermal behavior.
• Investigate issues related to audio subsystems, clocking, and mixed-signal interactions.
• Organize next steps, track actions, and drive timely issue closure.
• Actively work hands-on in the lab with tools like oscilloscopes, high-speed probing, and power measurements.
• Maintain clear Jira documentation with strong traceability and concise HW/SW communication.
• Assist with diagnostic documentation for HW-centric tests (HW Verification, DV/PV).
• Act as a bridge between hardware, systems, and distributed software teams across locations.

Essential Skills

• Experience in high-speed digital design (DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, serializer/deserializer links).
• Experience with high-power automotive ECU designs and hardware/software interface.
• Comfortable debugging signal integrity and power integrity issues.
• Experience in Central Compute, ADAS, or IVI environments (5 years).
• Prior Jira usage required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced integration environments with multiple stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proactive and organized with technical hands-on experience.
• Capable of driving clarity between hardware and software teams while handling complex integration challenges.

Work Environment

The role requires travel within Michigan to support multiple software sites and possible travel to Austin or California to support software customers. The position involves working in fast-paced integration environments, collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, MI.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Warren,MI.
