Are you a GIS professional who loves turning complex data into clear, actionable insight? We’re looking for a GIS Analyst III who’s excited to work with advanced GIS concepts—especially linear referencing—and who enjoys building smart, scalable solutions that make a real difference. Experience with the Utility and Pipeline Data Model (UPDM) is a big plus and will help you hit the ground running.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing and maintaining geodatabases, performing advanced spatial analysis, and shaping GIS data architecture that supports critical business needs. You’ll collaborate closely with users and stakeholders, blending technical expertise with problem-solving and creativity.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain automated GIS workflows using ModelBuilder, Python, FME, or similar tools
• Prepare, process, and transform data from multiple sources for seamless integration into GIS environments
• Perform data mining and analysis to meet customer specifications and project goals
• Conduct thorough QA/QC on versioned data before promoting it to production
• Test GIS applications and clearly document any defects or improvement opportunities
• Create custom queries, maps, and reports tailored to customer needs
• Evaluate existing business processes and recommend best‑practice GIS solutions
• Partner directly with users to gather requirements and document requested enhancements
• Stay curious—research and evaluate emerging GIS technologies, tools, and workflows to continuously improve operations

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography (GIS), Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3 years of relevant GIS experience
• Hands-on experience with linear referencing
• Experience with FME, or strong proficiency in ModelBuilder and/or Python
• At least 1 year of ArcGIS Pro experience, or 3 years working with ArcGIS/ArcMap

Work Environment & Location

This role offers a hybrid schedule, with four days in the office and one remote day, typically Fridays. You’ll work out of a beautiful office in Naperville, conveniently located near great restaurants, shopping, and TopGolf—perfect for lunch breaks or post‑work meetups.

This is a Permanent position based out of Naperville, IL.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00/hr.
