Job Title: Interior Designer (Contract Furniture Dealer)
Job Description
This role focuses on furniture layout, specification, and order accuracy for private offices and support spaces.
The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience working for a contract furniture dealer or manufacturer, is highly proficient in CET and AutoCAD, and is confident operating in a fast‑paced, high‑interaction client environment. The position will begin 100% onsite during onboarding and ramp‑up, with hybrid flexibility available after the training period.
Key Responsibilities
Design and specify furniture layouts for private offices and support spaces.
Produce accurate, dealer‑level furniture specifications and orders with minimal revisions.
Independently use CET and AutoCAD to deliver layouts, revisions, and documentation.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to assess requirements and develop space plans aligned with client standards.
Serve as a confident, client‑facing subject matter expert supporting a fast‑moving Starbucks account.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Conduct field measurements and site verification as needed.
Research and assist in selecting ancillary furniture products to support design consistency.
Prepare installation drawings and documentation.
Required Qualifications
5 years of experience working for a contract furniture dealer or manufacturer.
Proven experience with commercial office space planning.
Strong furniture specification and order accuracy experience.
Advanced proficiency in CET and AutoCAD.
Comfort working in a high‑interaction, client‑facing environment.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced setting.
Portfolio required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Haworth products.
Experience with SketchUp and/or Project Spec 5.
Experience working directly with large corporate clients.
Demonstrated success supporting high‑volume or enterprise‑level accounts.
Work Environment
This role operates in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment supporting a high‑volume Starbucks corporate account with frequent changes and tight turnaround times. The team is highly collaborative, working closely across design, sales, project management, and installation functions. Designers are expected to be adaptable, detail‑oriented, and proactive while delivering accurate, high‑quality work under deadline pressure. Unlimited Starbucks coffee and a budget‑friendly cafeteria are available onsite.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $37.50/hr.
