Job Description
This role is critical to delivering reliable, scalable web solutions that support business operations. You will influence technical direction, improve developer productivity, and help modernize application development practices. We are seeking a Full-Stack Web Developer to design, build, and support modern web applications that power critical business capabilities. This role works across the full application stack, from responsive user interfaces to scalable backend services and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically curious, and comfortable operating in an Azure-based environment with strong DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and cloud-native architectures.
- Build scalable backend services using Node.js and integrate with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Develop responsive, performant user interfaces using React.js and Next.js.
- Implement APIs, authentication, and data access patterns aligned with security and performance best practices.
- Deploy and operate applications in Microsoft Azure.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for source control and automated deployments.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize application performance across the full stack.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and problem-solving.
Essential Skills
- 5 years of experience as a Full-Stack Web Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency with Node.js, React.js, and Next.js.
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience deploying and supporting applications in Microsoft Azure.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and web security best practices.
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to balance speed, quality, and maintainability.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuous learning mindset and willingness to adopt new tools and practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (ARM, Bicep, or Terraform).
- Familiarity with containerization and cloud-native design patterns.
- Experience integrating applications with data platforms or analytics solutions.
- Familiarity with AI-powered developer enablement tools.
Work Environment
Work in an Azure-based environment utilizing strong DevOps practices. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and data teams, ensuring a team-oriented and collaborative atmosphere. Engage with modern JavaScript frameworks and cloud-native architectures, promoting continuous learning and adoption of new tools and practices.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Preston, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
