Front Desk Medical Assistant – Infectious Disease Clinic

We are seeking an experienced Front Desk Medical Assistant to join a collaborative Infectious Disease team. This role combines patient-facing front desk responsibilities with hands-on clinical support, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care every day.

🌟 What You'll Do

✅ Welcome patients and manage check-in/check-out processes

✅ Room patients and prepare exam rooms for provider visits

✅ Obtain and document vital signs and patient information accurately

✅ Chart clinical information using Epic EMR

✅ Support providers in delivering high-quality patient care

✅ Coordinate patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic

✅ Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms

✅ Collaborate with medical assistants, providers, and clinical staff to ensure an outstanding patient experience

🎯 Qualifications

✔ 3 years of Medical Assistant or clinical support experience

✔ Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

✔ Strong experience rooming patients, taking vital signs, and clinical documentation

✔ Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification

✔ Ability to thrive in a high-volume, patient-focused environment

✔ Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

✔ Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), CMA, or equivalent certification

✔ Experience in Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, or other specialty clinics

✔ Strong team-oriented mindset and commitment to quality patient care

• Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Professional outpatient Infectious Disease clinic
• Collaborative team of providers and medical assistants
• Utilizes Epic EMR and modern clinical equipment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
