Formulation Chemist

• Label raw materials accurately and ensure proper labeling practices are followed.
• Dispose of raw materials safely and according to regulations.
• Print labels and apply them to containers as needed.
• Organize laboratory inventory, including raw materials and supplies.
• Manage and maintain the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) system.
• Oversee inventory management and ensure lab supplies are well-stocked.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and order, including dishware, supplies, and raw materials.
• Order and manage lab supplies efficiently.
• Support equipment maintenance and calibration efforts.

• Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Chemistry, Cosmetics, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in formulations, labeling, and laboratory procedures.
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as pH meter, viscometer, homogenizer, and water bath.
• Experience in SDS management and safety data sheet upkeep.
• Background in the chemical manufacturing industry, with a preference for cosmetic experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory documents and FDA guidelines.

• Experience with cosmetic formulations and lab safety procedures.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory and SDS management.

This is a Contract position based out of Piscataway, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
