Job Title: Food Safety Specifications Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Food Safety Specifications Coordinator to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role involves ensuring the highest standards of food safety and compliance, contributing to the development and implementation of food safety programs within a rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Work within SAP PLM for ingredient analysis and review ingredient formulas.
• Collaborate with food safety specialists to support commercialization projects.
• Complete verification of records, ensuring all food safety information and documentation adhere to regulatory standards.
• Conduct risk assessments for new ingredients, products, and processes.
• Review policies, procedures, and guidance to support corporate FSQA and compliance programs.
• Participate in facility annual corporate internal reviews to monitor processes, facilities, and food safety programs.
• Assist with food safety issue investigations and support factories in developing corrective actions.

Essential Skills

• Experience in food manufacturing and food safety.
• Proficiency with SAP PLM or other database software.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience within the food industry.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory, labeling, product development, or quality.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
• Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment with one day on-site (typically Thursdays) and four days remote. The role operates on first shift hours, with flexibility between 7 am-3 pm, 8 am-4 pm, or 9 am-5 pm. The opportunity is available until January 2027. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
