Job Description
A Senior Wireless Firmware Engineer develops firmware for hearing aids, focusing on wireless communication protocols. This role is pivotal in bringing clarity to under-defined tasks and delivering high-quality solutions. It requires cross-functional collaboration and deep technical expertise to enhance product performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop firmware for wireless communication in hearing aids.
- Understand and participate in establishing requirements for firmware development.
- Design and implement wireless firmware solutions.
- Learn and understand Bluetooth Core standards published by Bluetooth SIG.
- Implement firmware related to BLE or NFMI Radios.
- Learn and debug issues related to the wireless subsystem.
- Proficiency in Firmware, C , Embedded C, and Embedded Software.
- Experience with Microcontrollers, RTOS, Python, and Device Drivers.
- Knowledge of C/C , Hardware Programming, I2C, and Bluetooth.
- Experienced in Bluetooth Low Energy and/or Wireless communication.
- Ability to utilize wireless sniffer tools such as Ellisys.
- Experience in Test Automation using Python.
- Embedded Firmware development experience with ARM and RTOS.
- 10 years of relevant experience; or
- 5 years of relevant experience with a Master's in Electrical Engineering (MSEE); or
- 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
This role is situated within an engineering environment, focusing on high-tech hearing aid development. The work involves the use of advanced technologies and requires a deep understanding of wireless communication protocols. The position demands a collaborative approach, working alongside cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and reliable solutions.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $165000.00/yr.
