Seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead and support the design, documentation, and execution of commercial architectural projects from concept through construction. This role requires strong technical expertise, project coordination skills, and proficiency in architectural production and documentation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing construction documents, coordinating project teams, and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and technical development of commercial projects.
- Develop and coordinate comprehensive construction document sets.
- Produce detailed architectural drawings and specifications using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Oversee project documentation through all phases, including schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Review project details for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Support construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and addressing field issues.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule while maintaining quality and design objectives.
- Mentor and support junior architectural staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
- 8–10 years of professional experience in architecture.
- Expert-level proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Strong experience producing and coordinating construction document sets.
- Proven experience with detailing and technical documentation.
- Thorough understanding of architectural design processes and project delivery methods.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on commercial architecture projects.
- Experience with construction administration and field coordination.
- Strong background in design development and production.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Providence, RI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.00 - $50.00/hr.
