In this role, you’ll be out in the field collecting real-world data that directly supports how critical infrastructure is designed and built. You’ll work alongside an experienced technician, gain hands-on training, and build a career path into senior field roles or office-based design positions.

As a Field Technician, you’ll play a key role in gathering essential data for aerial network design:
- Survey and document utility poles, including location, height, and condition
- Identify and record existing cables and equipment, including ownership and usage
- Capture clear, accurate photos of infrastructure and surrounding environments
- Measure poles and structures while walking residential and commercial areas
- Support permitting efforts by collecting required field documentation
- Participate in site walks to verify conditions for construction planning
- Assist in preparing material summaries for aerial projects
- Provide basic design support and insights from the field
- Utilize GIS and CAD tools (AutoCAD) to support mapping and documentation
- Maintain accurate records for engineering and design teams
- Work closely with a lead technician to complete daily tasks efficiently
