Job Title: Field Inspector

Job Description

As a Field Inspector, you will spend 8-12 hours in the field, 3-4 days a week, capturing distribution utility pole and wire attributes using cameras, field sheets, or utility-specific tools. On the remaining 1-2 days, you will work remotely, reconciling field information and preparing for upcoming field days. This role requires travel throughout the service territory, initially supporting projects in the Sacramento and San Francisco areas.

Responsibilities

• Capture distribution utility pole and wire attributes in the field.
• Work remotely to reconcile field information and prepare for field days.
• Drive a personal vehicle to various project sites.
• Solve problems and overcome challenges in the field.
• Work well independently and in a team-led environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers and the public.
• Manage multiple types of fielding requests and preferences.
• Plan daily schedules according to priority.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office, IKE 4 GPS or Katapult, Google Earth Pro, and Blue Beam Revu preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma required; AA/BA/BS preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a combination of field and remote environments. Spend 3-4 days a week in the field and 1-2 days working from home. Projects are currently in Northern California but may extend to Southern California or out of state. The role requires traveling to project sites and working in varying conditions. Safety equipment and some work apparel are provided. Employees should provide their own reliable vehicle and closed-toe work boots.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
