Expeditor – Inventory Control & Production Support
Job Summary
This role supports daily production by keeping inventory accurate, organized, and available. The Expeditor works on the shop floor and in the stockroom to move materials, fix shortages, and keep production on schedule. This is a hands-on manufacturing role and is temporary with potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain stockroom and inventory locations
- Perform cycle counts and correct inventory issues
- Ensure materials are available and staged for production
- Expedite materials on the shop floor to prevent delays
- Monitor shortages and bottlenecks and escalate issues
- Track part status and job progress
- Enter inventory and material transactions in ERP/MRP
- Support purchasing, shipping, and receiving as needed
- Assist with Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory
- Support production scheduling and material movement
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–5 years of experience in inventory, expediting, or manufacturing support
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- ERP/MRP and basic Excel experience
- Ability to walk the shop floor daily
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable with hands-on, fast-paced work

This is a Contract position based out of Simi Valley, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
