We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead and participate in a diverse range of site-development, transportation, energy-related, climate adaptation, and resiliency projects. The role involves managing permitting projects at various levels with proven success, preparing permit applications, scientific reports, and environmental impact statements.
Responsibilities- Effectively coordinate field work and provide direction and support to technical staff.
- Interact professionally with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Manage budgets, invoicing, accounts receivable, schedules, and subcontractors.
- Support the preparation of proposals and cost estimates.
- Environmental compliance and remediation experience.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, planning, or related field.
- 5 to 15 years of post-degree environmental permitting experience, preferably in New Jersey.
- Familiarity with NEPA documentation including ENFs, EIRs, CATEXs, EAs, and EISs.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and technical communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude under aggressive schedules.
- Experience in report writing and preparation of clear and concise documentation.
- Experience with sustainability and climate adaptation planning.
- Familiarity with socioeconomic and environmental justice analysis.
- Ability to travel as required for project demands and business development.
- Direct experience with NJDEP, USACE, and other federal and state permitting agencies.
- Knowledge of New Jersey regulatory agencies and environmental protection programs.
This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days a week required in the office. The position involves working with a multidisciplinary team to execute complex projects across the country from eight office locations in North America.
