Description
The Environmental Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing water-related environmental compliance programs, with a strong focus on construction stormwater permitting and erosion & sediment control. This role interfaces with regulatory agencies, internal business units, and industry groups to ensure compliance, influence policy, and support environmental stewardship initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement compliance strategies for water-related environmental regulations and permits
Manage permitting, reporting, and site inspections related to construction stormwater programs
Ensure compliance with:
Clean Water Act
Georgia Water Quality Act
NPDES Construction & Industrial Stormwater Permits
Georgia Erosion & Sedimentation Act (GESA)
Conduct program reviews and recommend improvements to environmental procedures and policies
Interface with regulatory agencies (EPA, Georgia EPD) and represent Georgia Power externally
Track and interpret regulatory changes and influence policy development
Partner with internal business units to implement compliance programs and environmental solutions
Support environmental training, communication, and risk mitigation initiatives
Participate in storm restoration and emergency response efforts

Professional certification in environmental/engineering field
Experience with

40 CFR 112 (Oil Pollution Prevention)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
