Engineering Test Technician
We are seeking an Engineering Test Technician to support testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aerospace electrical systems. This role focuses heavily on component‑level troubleshooting and hands‑on use of electronic test equipment in a regulated, quality‑driven environment. The position supports temperature control and deicing systems used on aircraft platforms including Boeing, Airbus, and Apache helicopters. This is a great opportunity for experienced aerospace or military electronics technicians—or candidates with strong formal training looking to grow in aerospace testing.
Location: Ronkonkoma, NY (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $23–$25 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full‑time | 1st Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical testing, repair, and component‑level troubleshooting of aerospace electronic components
- Test and troubleshoot temperature control and deicing systems used in fixed‑wing and rotary aircraft
- Use electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters/voltmeters, power supplies, and function generators
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Accurately complete test data sheets and document results
- Write and document non‑conformances in accordance with quality and compliance standards
- Spend approximately 50–75% of the workday troubleshooting electronic issues
- Work closely with engineers and technicians in a fast‑paced production and test environment
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as an Electrical or Electronics Technician in:
- Aerospace manufacturing/testing or
- Military electronics (active duty, reservist, or contractor)
- OR
- Formal military electronics training or an Associate/Technology degree in Electrical Engineering with strong hands‑on skills
- Proven experience with component‑level electrical troubleshooting
- Proficiency using electronic test equipment:
- Oscilloscopes
- Multimeters / voltmeters
- Power supplies
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and circuit diagrams
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Soldering, wiring, and electronic repair experience
- Experience working in regulated environments (aerospace, military, ISO, AS9100)
- Ability to clearly document test results and technical findings
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and controlled documentation

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ronkonkoma, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
