**Looking for an engineering student that's looking for internship**

Responsibilities

  • Generate software licenses using proprietary tools and ensure accurate deployment to designated systems.
  • Build and deploy PCs according to established specifications and project requirements.
  • Install, configure, and verify hardware components, including upgrades and replacements, to meet performance and compatibility standards.
  • Install additional software and firmware on systems, ensuring proper configuration and version control.
  • Assemble company products, including audio and video recording solutions, following detailed assembly instructions and quality guidelines.
  • Assemble and integrate third-party products into complete system solutions, ensuring compatibility and proper operation.
  • Assemble printed circuit boards, check their functionality, and enclose them in appropriate housings or enclosures.
  • Image PCs according to defined specifications and standards, ensuring consistency across all deployed systems.
  • Assist in validating Bills of Materials (BOM) by verifying components, quantities, and part accuracy with the manufacturing team.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product management during the design phase to understand product requirements and provide technical feedback.
  • Check the functionality of computers and other products, performing systematic testing and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain testing standards and processes, documenting procedures and ensuring consistent application.
  • Document issues, procedures, test results, and resolutions in a clear and organized manner.
  • Frequently check email and voicemail and respond in a timely, professional manner.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication with supervisors, especially regarding significant issues, risks, or events.
  • Maintain a helpful and friendly working relationship with users and internal stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly to operational errors and issues reported by users, assisting with troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned to support production, testing, and deployment activities.

Essential Skills

  • Basic knowledge of PC components and their purpose, including how they interact within a complete system.
  • Basic tool knowledge and the ability to use common hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Attention to detail when assembling hardware, installing software and firmware, and documenting work.
  • Familiarity with hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with software and firmware installation on PCs and related devices.
  • Ability to work with electronics, PCs, and software applications in a technical environment.
  • Ability to maintain concentration and accuracy despite frequent interruptions.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to interact with co-workers, report findings to supervisors, and assist end users.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks.
  • Ability to lift boxes or objects up to 50 pounds as needed for equipment handling and setup.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Interest in audio and video recording technologies and their application in court or similar environments.
  • Ability to document procedures, issues, and resolutions clearly for future reference.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a willingness to assist users and colleagues in a positive and professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and respond promptly to requests and operational issues.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role, working Monday through Friday in a technical production and engineering environment. The position involves assembling and configuring PCs, electronics, and audio/video recording products, as well as installing hardware, software, and firmware using standard tools and computer equipment. The work requires periods of seated computer-based tasks, hands-on assembly and testing at workbenches, and occasional lifting of equipment or boxes up to 50 pounds. A professional, well-groomed appearance is advised, reflecting regular interaction with colleagues, engineers, product management, and end users. This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
