Engineer

The Engineer 1 position is an exciting opportunity for individuals with 0-5 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor's degree. In this role, you will be responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power-related systems. You will also support estimate preparation, develop design options, and prepare construction specifications.

• Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages.
• Ensure a safe work environment by prioritizing safety in all tasks.
• Understand and apply processes used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance.
• Apply knowledge of design practices and work processes.
• Utilize all software applications used in design effectively.
• Understand and implement industry design standards.
• Support the development of design standards and criteria for the system.
• Assist construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations.
• Estimate materials for projects and transmit construction packages along with supporting specifications.

This position is onsite at a power plant located in Moss Point, MS, offering a dynamic and hands-on work environment. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and collaboration with a dedicated team of professionals.

This is a Contract position based out of Moss Point, MS.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
