We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems and embedded software development, primarily using C and C . This role involves working on defense-oriented system software with a focus on backend engineering and network communications. You will be engaged in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for defense-related systems.
- Implement robust solutions in C and C , with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Collaborate on system architecture and integration of network communication protocols.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging across multiple platforms.
- Document software designs and maintain development standards.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in C and C for embedded software development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and memory management.
- Experience with network protocols and multi-tasking in embedded environments.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level hardware interaction is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- 2 years of relevant experience, including internships or co-ops.
- Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts such as:
- Embedded system architecture
- Object-oriented design principles
- Network protocol implementation
- Data types and structures
- Error handling and memory management
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.27/hr.
